After a stint in the Navy, in 1972 Doc hitchhiked through 12 Latin American countries jamming with the locals. His move back to Chicago found him playing with Willie Kent and the Beehives. The band featured blues figureheads Fenton Robinson, Johnnie Littlejohn and many others. Likened to the Finn brothers with their effortless vocal harmonies, The Bridge Between add numerous musical dimensions through the spell binding use of acoustic and electric guitars, slide and harmonicas. Their music captures your attention and their emotion drags you from yourself, making you want to stay forever. The Bridge Between has best been described as ‘the blues meets country and decides on a walk, along the way bumps into folk spins around and trips over some roots.’ Th Old Canberra Inn is Canberra's oldest heritage inn dating back 160 years when it was the watering hole for the horses ... today the tradition still lives on with great pub food, atmosphere and fun!

Sunday Sunset Show. Door deal $10. ONLY CANBERRA SHOW!!!!!!!!!!! Recently voted as 'The best new top ten' guitarists in the USA.Geoff Achison is about to return home after almost 2 years living and working in the USA. In that time he has chalked up a countless number of live gigs, radio interviews and even television broadcasts. His relentless touring schedule has kept him on the move and exposed both his music and performance style to new audiences up and down the eastern states. His live CD release, Souldiggin’ (recorded in Australia) reached #23 on the US Roots/Blues Chart, and was identified by some critics as one of the best releases of 2007. In June of this year ‘Guitar Player’ magazine had Geoff listed amongst their Top Ten Hot New Guitarists - no mean fete for an independent Australian artist. In the UK last summer, he returned to the BBC Studios in London to record a national radio program there. Another highlight was making his 11th annual visit to Jorma Kaukonen’s (Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna) Fur Peace Ranch Guitar Camp in Ohio to conduct his ever more popular guitar workshop. RECORDING IN ATLANTA The decision was made earlier this year that a new album was due. With the materiel and artistic vision ready to go, Geoff decided that he was keen to do this himself and so made the necessary arrangements to get things happening. Having endeared himself to the Atlanta music scene, he was able to hire the best of an already strong stable of players. The recording band included the red hot rhythm section of Ted Pecchio & Tyler ‘Falcon’ Greenwell with guest spots by Oliver Wood and legendary drummer Yonrico Scott. The sessions began in April ‘08 and continued through to September, spending a day here and there in the studio as Geoff’s grueling tour schedule allowed. The results really are stunning and Geoff is suitably excited about the future release of this new selection of original music. “I’m thrilled to bits with it.” He says “I can’t stop listening to it!” JAMMING WITH THE LEGENDS Les Paul and Geoff Back on tour, Geoff has also enjoyed some remarkable onstage moments. On one visit to New York City, he not only witnessed the great guitarist and inventor Les Paul in concert at the Iridium Jazz Club, but was invited to plug in and play with the 93 year old master. Geoff said it was like “Having Albert Einstein look over your math homework!” In Nashville last April he also found himself jamming with the legendary R&B vocalist Delbert McClinton, an event which later
